Kanha Earth Lodge


We are proud of each and every member of the team at Kanha Earth Lodge and it is the team which makes the soul of the lodge and the guests who have stayed with us will vouch for the same.

Majority of our staff are from the local area and may not possess the best communication skills but work beyond the call of duty, our senior team works regularly to enhance their skills.

Some of the key members you will interact during your visit are mentioned below, though each and every member plays an equal role in making your stay wonderful

 

Karan Rana

Karan Rana multi tasks between many roles, naturalist team in charge to heading Kanha Earth Lodge to leading specialist groups, before his role at Kanha, he has also worked with Pugdundee Safaris at Bandhavgarh and Panna. He has been an integral part of Pugdundee since 2004 before which he has worked for over 15 years with Tiger Tops Nepal in Chitwan and Bardia National Parks. He also leads the Pugdundee Mobile & walking safaris and has played a pivotal role in launching it successfully in Central India.



Khyali Dutt Kargeti

Growing up so close to the nature in Ramnagar, Nainital , KD realised that he wanted to pursue a career in wildlife from his childhood itself. Before joining us at Kanha Earth Lodge, he has worked in Bandhavgarh and Corbett National Park. Apart from the usual Hindi and English, one can even have a chat with him in Kumaoni and Garhwali.





Harpreet Dhillon

Harpreet Dhillon is a keen wildlife and nature enthusiast. With over 5 years of experience of working in Kanha as a naturalist he is now an integral part of the Pugdundee team. Having grown up on a farm in rural India he took the jungles with ease. He has also worked in Bhartapur, Pench and Ranthambhore National Parks.





Rohit Patle

Rohit is from the neighbouring village Dhanwar and has been with the lodge since construction in 2009. Over the years he has become an integral part of the lodge and you will find him involved in almost everything.He is outstanding at leading tours to the tribal villages and haats, having grown up in the jungle is also at ease with the local flora and fauna.

He is a great inspiration for local boys and a perfect example of integration through eco tourism.

Ashu Khan

Born and brought up in Mocha village near Kanha National Park itself, Ashu is the nature guide at the lodge. He has grown up lsitening about the ‘tiger stories’ of Kanha and is a great company on game drives due to his tiger tracking skills and knowledge about the local flora and fauna.
