Ken River Lodge Review

Near Panna National Park, about a half hour from Khajuraho, this lodge is well suited for a nature-lover, with basic mud huts and cottages with hot water and private baths, but no phones, TVs, or air-conditioning. You might feel like Robinson Crusoe eating at one of the lodge's restaurants, a platform built in a tree on a bank of the picturesque Ken River, or barbecuing over a campfire. If you plan to see Panna, you may want the Rs. 7,000-per-person-daily package, which includes all home-style Indian meals and two jeep trips into the park with an experienced guide and the lodge's own naturalist. The owner has two other properties in the area: a night-safari camp and a jungle wildlife camp reached by boat.
